The Van De Walle Fajita Corral is operated by volunteer from the Fajita Corral Committee, as well as many corporate volunteers, with proceeds benefiting the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Scholarship Fund. To date the Corral has raised over $3 million to support the education of Texas youth. If you have a taste for great Texas bar-b-que, this is the place to eat! Mouth-watering brisket, beef or chicken fajitas, great dumplings and baked potatoes, it will fill up even the hungriest of Stock Show & Rodeo guests.

The tent is located near the Rodeo Contestant Hospitality building.

School Tours

School Tours

This tent houses our numerous School Tours children when they come visit the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo grounds on a field trip. The School Tours program gives young students and their teachers the opportunity to learn about the past and present methods of agriculture. School Tours are offered to students in Kindergarten through third grade attending public, private and home schools. High School aged students of the 4-H, FFA and FCCLA organizations from South Texas are invited each year to serve as Tour Guides for this committee. Tour Guides assist in educating the students about agriculture and its valued importance, while sharpening their leadership and responsibility skills. Tours last 2 to 2-1/2 hours.

Little Buckaroo Farms Presented by H-E-B

A Truly Texas Family Experience is sponsored by H-E-B in cooperation with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and others. Exhibits in this area offer visitors a chance to see the agricultural origins of the food and fiber needed for daily living. Exhibits show agricultural production from farm and ranch to the kitchen table. Visitors to Little Buckaroo Farm can sample Texas dairy products, see a live beehive, take a picture with a farm animal or try their hand at cow-milking! Exhibits and displays include a kitchen demonstration area with guest chefs, dairy product exhibit, Dairy Diner, honeybee exhibit, Bexar County Master Gardener's booth, rainwater harvesting display, farm animal exhibit, and urban/limited space and an indoor garden displays.

Agricadabra is an agriculture based magic show that entertains and educates. Brad Matchett’s show will teach about the importance of agriculture in Texas. Expect a few tricks, some singing, a little dancing, and even an appearance from his magic rabbit, Houdini!

Zoomagination is “Where the wild kingdom meets your imagination!” Zoomagination is an educational and entertaining live animal program for all ages. This exhibit will focus on the interaction of animals, humans, and the environment while featuring macaws, warthogs, two toed sloths, and much more!

Name a cat that has spots. If the first animal that came to mind if a Cheetah you need to take a walk through TEXAS WILD! and discover what lies in the land we call home. Texas has many wonderful wildlife species including many federally protected animals that you may have never seen or heard about before.

The Butterfly Encounter

Visitors will have an opportunity to be surrounded by hundreds of butterflies as they walk throughout a 24’ X 33’ butterfly enclosure. This educational exhibit will teach about the butterfly life cycle and there will be presentations on how to fix a broken wing.

Sandy Feet Sand Castles

Sandy Feet, aka Lucinda Wierenga, invented the job of sandcastle instructor. Lucinda and her team of builders will create four 10’X20’X10’ sand sculptures. A few of Lucinda’s sand sculpting career highlights include being featured in Texas Monthly, People Magazine, the New York Times, and appearing on Live with Regis and Kelly. Lucinda has won numerous awards from around the world, including contests in Italy, Qatar, Florida, and Texas.

Presented by H-E-B, the Dairy Center presents all aspects of milk production, dairy products, and their roles in agriculture. The milking parlor will feature real cow milking demonstrations with interaction and educational fun built into the show.

Animal Adventures by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance

Presented by Texas Farm Bureau, the Animal Adventures exhibit provides visitors with a better understanding of the relationship between the everyday uses of animal products and their agricultural basis. This interactive exhibit is open daily with activities involving audience participation. Various stages of animal production as well as the colorful history of the industries are showcased here. Product displays, cooking and food preparation tips, demonstrations, interactive video, and feed samples are just a few of the educational tidbits that are available. Live animals will also be on exhibit for everyone to see. Take time to view milking demonstrations, wool and mohair displays, hatching chicks, and other interesting activities.

This area is located outside the AT&T Center southwest exit. The area is alive with activity throughout the day, prior to and after each performance. Live bands perform on the Bud Light stage throughout the day. Chairs and tables are available for sitting and enjoying the day in this area, and beverage locations are available in the evenings.

Gembler Parking Lot Shuttle

This is the drop off/pick up location for the Gembler Parking Lot Shuttle. The Gembler Parking lot is located at 201 Gembler Road, and is open Friday-Sunday during the Rodeo. You will need a grounds pass or rodeo ticket to board the shuttle which can be purchased at the Gembler Lot.

This is the drop off/pick up location for the Wheatley Parking Lot Shuttle. The Wheatley Parking lot is located at 200 Noblewood Dr, a lightly paved and secured parking lot off Houston Street just southeast of the AT&T Center. You will be dropped off at the carnival gate off Houston Street.

Police/Lost & Found

This area houses the peace officers who serve at the Police force for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and is also the official site for all lost and found items. The area is located in a mobile trailer unit near the entrance at the West Gate.

Grounds & Security

The Grounds and Security office serves as the first welcoming point for volunteers, rodeo participants, personnel and media who enter the Stock Show & Rodeo. The Grounds and Security personnel handles general questions about parking, items left or misplaced on the grounds and the overall rules and regulations of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. The Grounds and Security Committee office is located inside the West Gate entrance adjacent to Police Headquarters and is open 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. daily during the entire run of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. This is also the official location of all lost and found items throughout the Rodeo grounds.

The Media Check-In Office is where all media requesting coverage of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo checks in prior to receiving admittance to the grounds. Here, media is credentialed and escorted by a Public Affairs Committee volunteer to the area/s they are requesting to cover.

This location serves as the Rodeo Ticket Office for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Located at the Southwest corner of the AT&T Center, this office sells Rodeo tickets, grounds passes, carnival passes, Star Experience ticket, etc. and services all Rodeo ticket needs.

Rodeo Contestant Hospitality

The Rodeo Contestant Hospitality Committee mans this room and extends a Texas-sized welcome to all our PRCA Rodeo contestants! Our goal is to try to make them feel at home during their stay in San Antonio. The room provides televisions, a place to relax, computers with internet, and also is the "dining hall" for the contestants prior to each performance of the Rodeo. A badge or pass is required to enter this room.

Each year the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo opens its gates to over one and a half million visitors from across the state of Texas, United States, North America and around the world. The International Committee strives to provide hospitality to all international guests that visit the Show. The Committee helps provide a meaningful and memorable experience for individuals and organizations through cultural and educational activities. The S.A.L.E. International Committee will welcome international visitors. Our hospitality room (International Room) is normally open from 11:00am to 6:00pm daily unless otherwise noted on schedule.
